WAN networks and technologies

• Intro - basics, ISO/OSI network model, communication system planning
• Communication technologies - transmission media (digital, analog), sygnal coding, dana link Layer technologies (Ethernet, PPP, ATM, FR, X.25, Packet over Sonet/SDH, ISDN, xDSL, wireless ...), backbone and acces network
• Network technologies - IP, Internet, intranet, routing protocols, IP addressing, VPN, MPLS, network integration (dana, voice, video), Quality of Service
• Services and applications - DNS, WWW, e-mail, bussiness applications, directory services, voice, video…
• Trends and future of communication technologies (PoS, DWDM, QoS IP, IPv6)
